Ever since information about Windows 8‘s consumer preview was announced last year, Spotify users have been requesting a Windows 8 application. Currently, Spotify can only be run through a desktop executable file (which is not available to Windows RT users) or accessed via a beta web browser interface. The online interface, which can even be accessed within Google Chrome OS, is usable but does not allow offline syncing of playlists.
With products like Microsoft’s Surface and Lenovo’s IdeaTab Lynx, both running Windows RT, there is a need for a Windows Store application. So far, popular radio services such as Slacker have joined the RT bandwagon, but neither of the top two streaming contenders (Spotify and Rdio) have released their respective apps for the platform.
A post within the “Spotify Ideas” forum has sparked over 870 up-votes or “kudos” signaling that the company should get the ball rolling. Until a week ago, there was no sign of activity on the Spotify front, but recently @SpotifyCares tweeted out a reply to a user stating that: “We don’t have a specific date for it [a Windows RT app] but it’s something our developers are working on.”
I've been trying to log into the spotify app (I have windows 10) but everytime I do, I receive these following errors. I have no problem logging into the the browser or mobile version, but even after uninstalling and reininstalling the app, it doesn't seem to work. Spotify app win 10 cant log with facebook.
This tweet hopefully signifies that a Windows 8 application is on it’s way soon to the Windows Store, and we won’t have to wait much longer.

The conundrum is most developers that are reconfiguring their apps for Windows RT are offering the apps through Windows Store. So, in a way, jailbreaking won't be useful until more developers release ARM-based desktops apps for Windows RT. Still, it is good to know how to do it.
